When talking about a beautiful manicure, cuticles are an important part of the package. Because of that, there are numerous ways that promise to help you removing them, inhibiting their growth, etc.
What I love most about this recipe is that you can also use it for the whole hand, removing the dead skin cells and obtaining a younger looking ones. Maybe it’s just my opinion, but hands can tell a woman’s/man’s story and age. So, why not tell a good, elegant one?
DIY Cuticle Exfoliator
1 Tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
½ Tablespoon sugar, brown sugar, or coconut sugar
5 drops tea tree essential oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
Directions: You just have to mix all the ingredients in a jar (you can keep it in the fridge for later use). After you soak your nails, apply the blend. Massage for a few minutes your whole nail, if you want too and your hands. After you’re done, rinse with warm water and continue your manicure. You can use this twice a month. After a few uses, you’ll notice your cuticles will grow at a slower pace.
After applying this, you can use a toothpick to push your cuticles back if there are any left. This way, you won’t cut them, showering down their growth.
Also, you can moisturize your hands and gently massage your nails too, with coconut oil, from time to time.
If you don’t have coconut oil and don’t wish to buy some, you can replace it with olive oil.
Don’t expect to see miraculous results from the first use, wait at least a month before forming an opinion.
