Sometimes, despite all efforts, dry skin seems impossible to treat, even when using a daily moisturizing technique. If you are a big fan of an good old, healthy, DIY face mask, you’ll definitely love this one. It’s easy to prepare and not expensive at all. It can be used in any season and if you add some oatmeal to it, you have a delicious breakfast too.
There are a lot of mask recipes on the internet and most of them are really good, but which one can you try first. Plus, you can’t really tell if it’s good or not if you only used it once. For me, the first time I tried this one it was because I just love bananas. They are really healthy and not only if you eat it. It’s good for the skin too. If you have it in your home already then, next time you eat one, put aside one fifth of it and you won’t regret, not eating it I mean. Another ingredient that I we usually have at home is honey. Very healthy when you need to sweeten your tea and very handy when preparing a mask. Now that we have both ingredients let’s see how we make this easy mask.
Banana – Honey Face Mask
One fifth of a banana
1 1/2 teaspoons raw honey or Manuka honey
Peel banana, cut in half, and place one side in a small bowl (the other half will not be needed so feel free to eat it). Add honey. Mash up the banana and honey with a fork until smooth. Apply evenly on clean face and wait 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Enjoy a wonderfully moisturized face!
Goes without saying that this is perfect or any type of skin.
